A great day of racing starting at 8am with over 160 races and finished at 4pm. The Linwood Throsby Gift was an exciting finish between Sydney Rowing Club and Newcastle University Boat Club, Uni just taking the 1st prize. Newcastle Rowing Club was thrilled that so many clubs attended - clubs from Sydney, Central Coast, Port Macquarie, Manning and all our local clubs from Berry Park and Lake Macquarie. Throsby Creek came alive with racing, colour and excitment.

Newcastle Rowing Club Official Opening - Sunday 6th December 2009 With many special guests in attendance the club was officially opened surrounded by a guard of honour from all the competing clubs. Andrew Rowley President of NSW Rowing Association unveiled the plaque.
